The Celtic Cross belongs to a period of the middle ages, approximately 8th to 10th century. These crosses had a religious significance. Death and the Afterlife being extremely important to the ancient Irish Celts. The original crosses handcut in stone showing intricate interlacing knots, Mythical animals and Human figures. The cross in this pendent is elegant and incorporates the trinity knot at the bottom and celtic knots on the top and on the arms. This piece of jewellery is individually and painstakingly crafted by hand.
