This is one of a range of products from the Celtic Roots Studio which works excluivelly with bogoak. The boglands of Ireland are a vast living treasure trove for a precious and unique material. Bog wood, more ancient than the pyramids of Egypt and the prehistoric monuments of Newgrange, has been nationally preserved, and has lain hidden for over 5,000 years. The Celtic Roots Studio reates the most exquisite bogwood sculptures. Each piece is uniquely designed and sculptured by hand from age old bog oak, yew and pine that have lian hidden beneath the bogs and hvae come to the surface as a result of turf cutting. The elegant abd dramatic forms created by the young artists at the studio are a celebration of both our rich Irish heritage and the unique landscape and atmosphere of our boglands. Each sculpture is painstakingly worked on by the artist to release its form and to bring forth a wonderous release of life. The work of these artists is now owned by many heads of State around the world who have received the work on visits to Ireland and abroad. Each gift is presented in natural black cardboard packaging, again carrying the studio label, ensuring that it only originates from the studio and the hands of the artists.
