Coady Design

Coady Design manufactures top quality Irish sterling silver jewellery. The range is based on celtic design, Tony's interpretation of Irish legends, and his own unique original design. Each piece of jewellery made by Tony Coady is first stamped with his own unique maker's mark, "AWC", which stands for Anthony William Coady.

There, the pieces are tested for maker's mark and to ensure the metal is sterling silver (or carat gold) and then stamped with an Assay Office Mark, A Fineness Mark and Date Letter. Silver below 925 will not be approved by the Assay Office. The Date Letter changes each year - M for 1998, N for 1999 and so on.

The hallmark of each piece is a guarantee by the maker to the buyer that the piece is made in Ireland by him and is of the finest sterling silver. The hallmark is the Irish Government's stamp of approval that the piece is of high quality and authentic.
